Lane’s End’s exciting freshman sire AFTER MARKET was represented by his first winner after his son Bette’s Aftershock skimmed the rail to victory in his career unveiling in a 4 1/2-furlong maiden special weight at Lone Star Park. Given a 5-1 chance, Bette’s Aftershock soon emerged with the lead after breaking sharply from the inside draw, dispensed of a dueling rival at the furlong grounds and drew clear to win by two lengths. The winner was bred by Milan Kosanovich and is trained by Francisco Bravo for owner Dale Schenian.

A multiple Grade 1 winner of over $900,000, AFTER MARKET won eight of 13 starts for Pam and Marty Wygod and trainer John Shirreffs. He is a son of the first-class multiple Grade 1-winning millionairess Tranquility Lake (Rahy) and thus bred on the same cross as leading sire Giant’s Causeway.

Congratulations to the connections of AFTER MARKET’s first winner!
