Lane’s End sires came through with no fewer than five stakes winners over the Memorial Day weekend, led by SMART STRIKE’s streaking racemare Denomination, who captured her second graded event in her last three trips to the post with a tally in the G3 Violet S. at Monmouth. MINESHAFT’s Kiss Mine notched her ninth career win in the $75,000 Decoration Day H., CANDY RIDE (ARG)’s Stachys took down the Jim Rasmussen Memorial S., and STEPHEN GOT EVEN’s son Peppi Knows beat a tough field in the Changing Times S. And CITY ZIP’s Gitchee Goomie, coming off a near-miss second in the G3 Beaugay S., rallied to win the Mount Vernon S. at Belmont.

Lane’s End’s had an additional eight weekend stakes performers, including: PLEASANTLY PERFECT’s Cozi Rosie (3rd, G1 Gamely S.); CITY ZIP’s Hailstone (our Woodford Racing runner, 2nd in G2 Connaught Cup) and Cosmo Girl (2nd Valid Expectations S.); LEMON DROP KID’s Beachcombing (2nd Lamplighter S.) and Lake Drop (3rd Premio Merano); LANGFUHR’s The Rectifier (2nd Listed West Sussex County Times On House S.); SMART STRIKE’s Spring Party (3rd Decoration Day H.); and STEPHEN GOT EVEN’s Stephengothisstar (3rd Prairie Express S.). Congrats to the connections of these horses!
