Sophomore sire ARAGORN (IRE) has enjoyed a strong summer with new winners from Del Mar to Woodbine, and on Saturday, Aug. 27, his juvenile son Big Dreams became a black-type performer with a game third-place finish in the $75,000 Fasig Tipton Turf Dash S. at Calder Race Course. A dominating 6 1/2-length winner sprinting five panels over Calder’s main track Aug. 5, Big Dreams was making his first start on the grass in the Turf Dash. Never far from the front, the chestnut was forced to steady between rivals a furlong out, but “then recovered and came back on to gain the show,” according to the official chart. Big Dreams was bred in Kentucky by Stanley B. Seelig.
