Lady of Fifty, a juvenile filly from the first crop of AFTER MARKET, became the first stakes winner for her sire with a hard-fought nose victory in the Golden Gate Debutante S. Nov. 5. Lady of Fifty aired by four lengths when 1-2 on debut in special weight company in July and was favored in the Debutante after a late-rallying third in allowance company. Lady of Fifty, produced by the graded-placed K.D.’s Shady Lady (Maria’s Mon), was bred by Cloverleaf Farms II, Inc. Trainer Jerry Holldendorfer co-owns the filly with George Todaro.
AFTER MARKET is also the sire of two other recent stakes horses. The Pam and Martin Wygod-bred Raesunbridledfaith, third in the Barretts Debutante S. in September, came back with another third-place effort in the Robert H. Walter California Cup Juvenile Fillies S. at Santa Anita Oct. 29. Earlier in the month, another Wygod-bred runner, the Lane’s End sales grad Belle Gallantey, herself ran third in the Fantasy S. in Canada.
Add to that exciting maiden special weight winners like the 2-year-old colt Which Market, another Wygod/Lane’s End Sales collaboration who captured a two-turn Aqueduct event Nov. 5, and the future looks bright for AFTER MARKET.
