For over a decade now, BELONG TO ME has been perhaps the leading U.S.-based sire son of the great Danzig, with champions Forever Together, Gautier, Given Vision (Aus), and Grade 1 winners like Jersey Girl, Circle of Life, Miss Houdini, Lucky Roberto, All Silent (Aus), Bon Hoffa (Aus), Bulla Borghese (Aus) and Proprietor (Aus) to his credit.
The now 23-year-old BELONG TO ME had another fine year in 2011. His 35 individual winners were led by the multiple graded stakes winner Mister Marti Gras, winner of the G3 Ack Ack S. at Churchill in November and the G3 Washington Park H. over Arlington’s Polytrack in September.
BELONG TO ME continues his emergence has an important broodmare sire. His daughters have produced the likes of dual champion Lookin at Lucky, as well as Grade I winners Jersey Town and Circular Quay. In 2011, he was the broodmare sire of the G1 American Oaks heroine Nereid, a daughter of our own ROCK HARD TEN.
BELONG TO ME now has 71 stakes winners on the ledger, including 25 graded winners, and his progeny have earned nearly $55 million. Meaning his 2012 fee of $5,000 offers breeders a chance at world-class performance combined with world-class value.
