The immensely talented miler SHAKESPEARE, the last great son of Theatrical (Ire), got off to a fine start at stud last year with the likes of graded winner Shkspeare Shaliyah, and has continued that momentum into 2012. His standouts include the 3-year-old filly Poetic Kid, who in seven starts has missed the exacta just once. The first foal from the LEMON DROP KID mare Snow Kid, Poetic Kid most recently added a salty one-mile Woodbine allowance to her resume. The Dell Ridge Farm homebred is trained by Kevin Attard.

Et Tu Walker became SHAKESPEARE’s latest winner when he got up to take a six-furlong maiden over Betfair Hollywood Park’s main track July 12. Bred in Kentucky by Triple Z Stable, the $90,000 KEESEP yearling is trained by Doug O’Neill.

In Europe, Quantum of Solange continues to rack up the wins. The 3-year-old miss, another bred by Dell Ridge Farm, tallied her fourth career victory for the Riccardo Menichetti barn on July 22.

Others by SHAKESPEARE to keep an eye out for include:

* Dr. Frank Justice and Meadow Oak Farms homebred Shakespeare’s Brew, a first-out winner facing Woodbine maiden special company who came back in his second start to be a strong second in a valuable allowance event;

* The Dell Ridge-bred, Peachtree Stable-owned Laertes, a first-out winner going seven panels over Woodbine’s turf course in maiden special company;

* Olsen and Christina Belle, et al’s Prince Raphael, another maiden special winner–on the main track–at Woodbine;

* The Ned Evans-bred, Quarter Pole Club-owned Just Like Juliet, an allowance winner at Fair Grounds.

Keep an eye out for yearlings by SHAKESPEARE at Keeneland September and this fall’s yearling sales!
