Lane's End is
the proud sponsor of two major Graded stakes. In 2002,
Lane's End became the exclusive sponsor of the Grade 2 Lane's End
Stakes at Turfway Park. During Keeneland's fall meet, Lane's End
sponsors the Grade 1 Lane's End Breeders' Futurity.

Lane's End
became the title sponsor of the Grade 2 Lane's End Stakes beginning
in 2002. One of the premier preps for the Triple Crown, this event
was inaugurated in 1972 and Lane's End joined as the sponsor in
2002. Winners have included such outstanding runners as current
Lane's End stallion STEPHEN GOT
EVEN as well as SUMMER SQUALL, HANSEL, LIL E. TEE, and PRAIRIE
BAYOU. The 2006 winner WITH A CITY, was sired by Lane's End's top young stallion CITY ZIP.

The Breeders'
Futurity was inaugurated at the Kentucky Association track in Lexington
in 1910 and was renewed every year thereafter through 1930. In 1931
through 1933, the race was shifted to Latonia in northern Kentucky.
The Futurity was revived at Keeneland in the fall of 1938. In 1943-45,
the Futurity was renewed at Keeneland in the fall of 1930. In 1943
- 45, the Futurity was renewed as a part of the Churchill Downs
Fall meetings. Some of the more recent as well as some of the most
renowned racehorses to have captured past runnings of the Futurity
include BOSTON HARBOR (1996), HONOUR AND GLORY (1995), FORTY NINER
(1987), SWALE (1983), ROUND TABLE (1956), and WHIRLAWAY (1940).
