Talk about living up to a name. This afternoon, TOO MUCH BLING’s very first starter, Show Me the Bling, was asked by Monmouth Park’s faithful to come through for them as the 8-5 pick, and the two-year-old first-timer did it with style in a $70,500 maiden special weight. The handsome filly, whitish-gray like her sire, showed good speed from the break, forged to lead three furlongs out, lost the lead briefly while racing greenly in the stretch, but re-engaged and was going away at the wire.

TOO MUCH BLING was one of the premier speedsters of his generation. A 19 1/2-length MSW winner at two and third to First Samurai and Henny Hughes in the G1 Hopeful S., TOO MUCH BLING won the G2 Carry Back S., G2 San Vicente S., G3 Bay Shore S., and San Miguel S. as a three-year-old. He currently stands at Lane’s End Texas.
