Entries for the 2015 Keeneland September Yearling Sale close on Friday, May 1, and Lane’s End is currently accepting horses for the world’s most important yearling sale.
Why choose Lane’s End to present your hard-earned investment? First and foremost, Lane’s End will give your horse the best chance at realizing his or her potential at public auction. Lane’s End has been a leading consignor 26 times, including at the 2014 Keeneland September Sale. In total, 211 Lane’s End-consigned horses sold there for over $28.5 million. The resulting average of $135,458 was 36% higher than the sale average of $99,312. Lane’s End-sold horses at the 2014 September Sale included a $1.45 million Dubawi (Ire) filly and a $1.35 million Tiznow half-brother to Majestic Warrior, as well as seven other horses who made $500,000 or more.
Lane’s End was just building on a history of success. Over the past quarter century, Lane’s End has sold 189 horses for $1 million or more. In 2011, we handled the highest-grossing dispersal of all time on behalf of the estate of long-time Lane’s End client Ned Evans. Gross receipts for the dispersal totaled over $62 million.
Much of Lane’s End’s success can be attributed to the relationship we have built with buyers. It’s a relationship built on trust, honesty and respect. And results. Lane’s End has sold champions and/or Grade 1 winners A.P. INDY, SAINT LIAM, Palace Malice, Wait a While, Jazil, Rags to Riches, SUMMER SQUALL, LEMON DROP KID, QUALITY ROAD, Stevie Wonderboy, and Thunder Gulch.
Lane’s End’s 2015 stakes winners include Devine Aida, Mufajaah, Sky Kingdom, Sugar Shock and Valid, while last year our stakes winners included the outstanding juvenile Cursory Glance, winner of the G1 Moyglare Stud S. and a graduate of the 2013 September Sale. To date, we have sold more than 380 stakes winners.
