SENORA ACERO (f, 2, The Factor–Riboletti, by Distorted Humor) finished a non-factor fifth after breaking slowly from a wide draw on debut sprinting over the Churchill Downs main track June 10 and was bet down to 4-1 from a 10-1 morning-line here. Off a step slow and veering out at the start, the bay got herself in gear and settled in a tracking fifth off modest opening splits. Swung out into the center of the track turning for home, the juvenile charged past a stubborn Conquest Sorceror (Pure Prize), who drew in off the also-eligibles and finished third in Senora Acero’s debut, to graduate by two lengths and become the first winner for her freshman sire (by War Front). Senora Acero is the first foal out of Riboletti, a daughter of champion Riboletta (Brz) (Roi Normand) who most recently produced a Speightstown colt Feb. 16. Sales history: $40,000 Ylg ’15 KEESEP. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-0, $24,195. Click for the Equibase.com chart.
