Since 1979 Lane’s End Farm has stood a number of the top stallions in North America and has become one of the premier breeding farms in the world. They look to continue that legacy in 2018 with the addition of two exciting new stallions in Grade 1-winning millionaire miler Connect and the multiple graded stakes-winning sprinter Unified.

Connect (Curlin—Bullville Belle, by Holy Bull) was one of the top middle-distance horses of his crop with six wins from eight career starts. The Chad Brown-trainee annexed four stakes, including the Cigar Mile (G1), Pennsylvania Derby (G2), and Westchester S. (G3). His accomplishments include earning a 106 Beyer Speed Figure—which was the fourth highest figure for a contest up to a mile in 2016—and a 1 Ragozin Figure when he won the stallion-making Cigar Mile. The striking bay defeated the likes of Grade 1 winners Gun Runner and Cupid as well as Classic winners Nyquist and Exagggerator during his career.

Connect is one of the most accomplished sons of leading general sire Curlin to stand at stud. Curlin ranks in the top five leading active North American sires by 2017 yearling sales average and median with figures of $324,886 and $250,000. The stallion saw sales of up to $1,000,000 at the yearling sales in 2017. Connect is a half-sibling to five winners including the multiple stakes winner Tani Maru. His dam, Bullville Belle, an unraced daughter of Holy Bull, hails from a productive family, as she is a half-sister to the graded winner Native Regent and well as three additional stakes winners.

Unified (Candy Ride {Arg}—Union City, by Dixie Union) burst onto the national scene during his successful unveiling at Gulfstream Park, winning a maiden special weight by three lengths and earning a 99 Beyer Speed Figure in February of his three-year-old year. The Centennial Farm colorbearer would go on to win the Bayshore S. (G3) in just his second lifetime start, earning a -2 3/4 Thoro-Graph Figure, before annexing Belmont Park’s Peter Pan S. (G2). Unified began his four-year-old campaign by besting Grade 1 winner Mind Your Biscuits in a gutsy Gulfstream Park Sprint S. (G3) victory and was runner-up by a neck in the Carter H. (G1) later that season. The speedy bay retired as one of the premier sprinters of his crop with four victories and one second-place effort from seven career starts.

Unified is a son of leading general sire and preeminent Lane’s End stallion Candy Ride (Arg). He is out of a stakes-placed Dixie Union mare and his second dam, City Sister, is graded stakes placed and the dam of the graded winner Dixie City. This is the same family as Champion Grade 1 winner Dehere.
