TWIRLING CANDY had a particularly strong showing in May, with the likes of graded stakes winners Danzing Candy and Finley’sluckycharm, who won the Grade 3 Lone Star Park Handicap and Grade 3 Winning Colors Stakes, respectively. Additionally, the stallion was represented by Annie’s Candy, who took the Journal Handicap, and Soaring Softly Stakes winner Morticia, who also finished second in the Grade 3 Appalachian Stakes Presented by Japan Racing Association at Keeneland in April.
Overall, TWIRLING CANDY is sitting at #2 on the Third Crop Sire list behind only Uncle Mo. Excluding that rival, TWIRLING CANDY has more Graded Stakes Winners and Black Type Winners than any other third crop sire in North America. He is proving to be an excellent sire of top class horses, much like his sire CANDY RIDE, who also stands at Lane’s End and is the #1 General Active Sire in North America.
