THE FACTOR had jaw-dropping speed as a racehorse, and now the brilliant son of War Front is off to an equally fast start at stud.

With five winners already from his first crop to race, THE FACTOR had two impressive maiden special winners this past weekend at Del Mar and Saratoga, respectively.

On Sunday at Del Mar, THE FACTOR was represented by a TDN Rising Star in the form of the 2yo filly Noted and Quoted, who dazzled in her second start for the Bob Baffert Barn. Reported the TDN:

“Crushed down to 2-5 in this spot, Noted and Quoted was away much better [than in her debut] and sat chilly in fourth along the rail, about two lengths off of a pair of dueling leaders going through a :22.12 quarter-mile. Bulling her way between rivals nearing the top of the lane, she took over at will approaching the eighth pole and drew away with every stride from there en route to a 10-length romp in 1:10.01.”

Owned by Speedway Stable, Noted and Quoted was purchased for $375,000 at OBS March after posting a bullet :20 2/5 quarter-mile breeze. She was bred by Gilbert G. Campbell.

A day earlier at Saratoga, THE FACTOR’s 2yo son Fact Finding lived up to his 350,000gns price tag at the Tattersalls Breeze-Up Sale with a first-out win for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Sitting just off fast early splits, Fact Finding began to roll in the upper stretch and drew clear to a 2 1/4-length win. The final time for the $83,000, six-furlong event was a sharp 1:10.57.

Fact Finding is owned by the Coolmore partners and Stonestreet Stable, and was bred by Nursery Place and partners.

Watch for members of THE FACTOR’s exciting second crop at the upcoming yearling sales!
