DOUBLEBOLT (f, 3, Quality Road–Double Scoop {SW & GSP, $257,494}, by Seeking the Gold) showed brief interest before checking in a well-beaten last in her local unveiling July 9, and was dismissed at 11-1 while adding Lasix for this second attempt. Pressing the pace three deep early, she moved up a spot approaching the bend, and hit the front midway on the turn. The $170,000 KEENOV weanling and $260,000 KEESEP yearling quickly settled the issue from there, taking a comfortable lead into the lane and building it to 8 1/4 lengths at the line. Favored Treasure (Medaglia d’Oro), a distant second behind ‘TDN Rising Star’ and subsequent allowance winner Wrath of Ruthie (Distorted Humor) last out at Churchill Nov. 5, completed the exacta. The winner is a half to Ice Cream Silence (Street Sense), GSW, $228,046 and a granddaughter of GI Santa Anita Oaks winner Golden Treat (Theatrical {Ire}). She hails from the same female family as four-time Grade I winner Bet Twice. Her dam produced a Bernardini filly earlier this year and was bred back to Pioneerof the Nile. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-0, $24,470. Click for the chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
